Moser Homestead Cabinetry Selections

Come along as I welcome you into the cabinetry selections I chose for Project Moser Homestead! Each room was carefully thought through and was assessed multiple times.

I take great pride in the selections I have chosen, so I invite you to scroll through our concepts to understand the true energy we are hoping to acheive in our dream home.

Mudroom & Laundry Room

Pale Oak (Benjamin Moore OC-20 ) & Nut Brown stain on Maple

I debated about having the cabinetry in Pale Oak because I was sure it wasn’t going to match our White Oak LVP floor. After I received our samples from our cabinetry manufacturer, I was sold! I didn’t want to go too far off of a white tone, but I wanted a bit more colour in this room. A Mudroom & Laundry Room are usually rooms that don’t get a lot of attention. I truly believe every room deserves attention and detail to ensure your home feels complete.

The Nut Brown is a dark brown stain that is on our dining table and will be used throughout our house! We are using it as highlighted areas in our cabinetry to accentuate flow throughout our home.

Main Bath

As I stated above, we are using this stain in many areas in our home to continue the flow. Our main bath vanity will be customized with faceframe & custom feet but with an added recessed toe kick. This is a room that I want to speak volume as it’s the bathroom our guests will be using. We decided to still have a 3-piece bath on the main floor to allow for us to live in the house forever. We will be having a walk-in shower with a glass panel to make it easy access as we get older in age.

Built in China Cabinet

Chantilly Lace (Benjamin Moore OC-65) & Black (Benjamin Moore 2132-10)

This China Cabinet was actually inspired by the designer Shae McGee’s built ins in her own home! I knew I wanted black cabinetry because that’s my favourite colour for cabinetry. 🖤 With antiques being a prime representation of myself I’ve had the vision of antique handles for this unit as well. I went to a liquidation place to find the perfect hardware! With black exterior of the unit, I knew I wanted bold contrast and decided to finish it off with white interior with the back panel being white shiplap. I think this will be my favourite area in the house!

Kitchen

Chantilly Lace (Benjamin Moore OC-65) & Nut Brown on Maple

For the kitchen I wanted to go with something very neutral but also gives a warm welcoming glow. After much back and forth between Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore and Chantilly Lace, I decided to do Chantilly Lace as it is my all-time favourite white to work with. I'm not much off an off-white person, as I like a bold contrast between white and black, so I knew this would be a perfect fit for our dream home. I knew from the start that I wanted to match our dining room table stain for the island colour, to keep with the consistency and flow. This stain will also be floating shelves stain as well which will be right beside the double window that overlooks our back patio. Black fixtures will be applied to this room to continue with the black features throughout the house; however, the island will have gold hardware.

Kids Bath

Pale Oak (Benjamin Moore OC-20 )

I've had my heart set on Pale Oak for the kids’ bath since the very beginning. I wanted the vanity colour to match the tile in the tub almost perfectly. The tile in the tub will be a vertical stack with white grout. And to continue with the black fixtures, we will be adding in black cabinetry hardware, lights, and bath fixtures throughout with the perfect black 12"x24" tile herringbone floor.

Ensuite

Chantilly Lace (Benjamin Moore OC-65 ) & White Wash on White Oak

The inspiration for this bathroom I actually saw on Pinterest from another Designer located in California. PureSalt Interiors has been a true inspiration for this entire renovation. They did a bathroom at their Los Gatos project, and I have used that inspiration to create our ensuite cabinetry. With the two-tone look I will be having our linen closet finished in Chantilly lace (of course! 😉) and the vanity will be in White Oak with a white wash stain. I haven’t decided on the tile that I want to use in the shower and on the floor, yet it’ll be either a very light gray or white. The black fixtures will be continued in this room as well, as I love that pop of contrast!
