LM Interiors 2023 Vision Board

Updated: Jan 12, 2023

Happy New Year! (& happy to start this blog!)

The 2023 year has just started and there is already lots of projects in the works that we can't wait to share with you all! For now, we'd love to show off our 2023 Vision Board to demonstrate what we love to achieve and our style we love to design.

LM Interiors practices in designing beautiful interiors, functional aesthetics and one of a kind style.

This year at LM Interiors, we aspire to live through our vision board.

More often than not, we use natural textures and elements to create a base layer in our projects which unfolds a variety of options to explore. We love to add a bold touch to every space, whether that be through lighting, decor, or flooring, were here for it!

Our Favourites

Patterned Throw Pillows

Whether it is a bedroom, living room or flex space, adding patterned throw pillows added contrast, texture, and interest to any room. Throw pillows go hand-and-hand with home decor by adding the 'jewelry' to your space. These pieces often are conversation starters and are usually the items that pull a design together. By layering different patterns with multiple pillows, this is what makes a space feel more 'designer' if you will and I believe it’s because it looks sophisticated than plain-Jane solid pillows. Many people are scared to used multiple different patterns as they think it might look tacky or out date their space. In 2020/21 we started to see this trend of layering of patterns whether it be through pillows, blankets, or artwork, I believe this will be a style that will be staying for many years to come.

White Oak Millwork

White Oak has gained a lot of attention in the last 4 years and as a previous cabinetry designer, this is something I have seen since 2019 increase in production. Production began to increase from bathroom vanities to kitchens to walk in closets. I believe this has come so popular in such a short time; due to the light stain and neutral tones the wood can pull. Although this is a popular selection it also comes with a price tag. White Oak is an expensive wood to begin with and has only increased during the pandemic due to supply issues. Some cabinetry makers can bleach Red Oak to make it look like White Oak, but the grain will be slightly different. This can cut down on the cost but still achieve the same look as White Oak. This is a wood species that I have love to use in many projects (4th Line & sooner Quaiser) and will continue to use throughout the years to come.

Stone Interior Walls

In 2022, stone interior walls is something that was slowly being reintroduced and it is something that I am completely in love with! Lots of times in the past, stone walls have just been exposed from an old foundation or exterior of a home. Now it is being showcased as an addition to a home by having a mason install it on the interior of our walls. This style really creates a calming, earthy feel that is coming more of a trend and I truly believe this is because of the pandemic. This reminded a lot of people of simpler times, when we provided food for ourselves verse purchasing items at a grocery store. In 2023, I have a feeling this trend is going to sky rocking and become something we see more in luxury homes or having contractors expose old exterior walls in older homes.
